A New Chapter
2020
Dang 2020 has been a drag of a year. With everything going on in the world we have hardly done anything. BUT, I am grateful for the upsides of it. Since I have been working from home my work life balance has changed so much. I don’t rush to leave in the morning, and I am not fighting traffic to get home. This extra time has been amazing. I love making your coffee in the mornings now before I walk over to my desk. I love cooking dinner for you when you get home. This year I also get to propose to you, the love of my life. I got to buy you an engagement ring that is as unique as your are. Finding one in a half moon shape was very important to me. Since we have been dating you have been “The Moon of My Life.” That will never change. You are everything to me, and I look forward to many more adventures with you!
Our Home Improvement Year
2019
This year was stressful and fun at the same time. We got to visit Montreal and explore all over the city. I think visiting the Harry Potter bar and getting magic tricks while drinking my mystical drinks was probably my favorite spot. We also spent the better part of the year saving and renovating the house. Between tearing down walls, to removing two tons of tile, you were very patient with me as I did a whole revamp. But it wasn’t wasted! By Halloween we had an awesome party that was a lot of fun! Friends and family alike came and celebrated with us on our favorite day of the year. If I am being honest, it was also a lot of fun to dress up as Hades and Persephone.
Travel Travel Travel
2018
This year was also full of fun adventures. We got to leave the country together for the first time and hit the slopes of Whistler for a week. I didn’t want that week to end either. But that wasn’t where it stopped! At the end of the year We got to go celebrate the my sister’s wedding in Costa Rica! I wish we could have kept that beach cat we played with. In September your cousin got married as well, and I had so much fun being a part of that wedding. And of course I think we pulled off the best Halloween yet with our Gomez and Morticia costumes at Lauren’s Halloween party!
The Young Explorers
2017
2017 was full of adventure. That year kicked off with a trip up to Washington D.C. to visit our friends Ryan and Sarah. Ryan gave us our own private tour of D.C. and took us to all the monuments and museums. So that was cool, then Sarah tried to poison me at a delicious restaurant. (I would go back). Of course we still found time to hit up a ballet for your birthday, and even head to medieval times! However, my favorite part was our trip to Wyoming. Wow. It was our first BIG trip together, and still my favorite. I honestly can’t wait to go back with you and eat more elk. Lol!
The Batman Feared Us
2016
This year started off with a cooking class! We learned how to make chicken marsala and real Fettuccine Alfredo! The hikes together didn’t stop either. We visited Turner Falls together that year! We even went speeding over the lake in Austin on those crazy fast zip lines. Like years in the past, we continued to grow, and build each other up. You even drove with me for 2 hours to watch me compete in the savage race for the first time! We hit up some rock concerts with my family. And, of course, we were THE HOTTEST couple of the year on Halloween as the Joker and Harley Quinn!
Heroes got a reboot
2015
In 2015 we were refined! That was the year we started visiting museums and aquariums together. Of course we also suffered great loss that year. Your trusty mustang had finally died. But then you upgraded Daario Naharis, you bright blue Hyundai. Of course, some things hadn’t changed. Yet again we visited the botanical gardens to stroll through all of the beauty. It seems that has become sort of a constant thing for us over the years. And of course, the biggest event of that year was the reboot of Heroes. One of the best shows of all time.
The Hidden Oasis
2014
By the time 2014 rolled around I was fat and happy. I finally got through school and started my career. Lord knows I couldn’t have done it without your help! We started being able to do more together too. Our first trip together was down to Austin! You showed me the wonderful food of the Oasis and Gristmill. Which to this day is still a favorite spot of ours. We even got to go hiking in Bend, Texas. A looooong hot, flat, rocky hike in typical dried out Texas Terrain. But at the end. Whoa. Gorman Falls was beautiful and well worth the hike. And what better way to cool off than to float the river while we were down there!
Time To Turn Up!
2013
What a crazy year. We were new to dating and of course I was perfect at it. That was the year we both finally turned 21! So of course it was spent exploring and drinking. Your 21’st Birthday we went to a country bar and out dancing… correction you danced with all of your friends. I am not much of a dancer. I know on my birthday you drove me to a piano bar with some friends and family. I’m sorry for taking my clothes off on stage and sharing my drinks with strangers. I had a little much that night! That year you got me to go to a festival too! And I think it was one of the first times I had ever gone to the State Fair.
First Dates
2012
Our First real date was certainly a night to remember. We went to La Hacienda Ranch for dinner. I saved for like two weeks to take us, and the food was bomb. So no regrets there either! After that I didn’t want the night to end so we went to the Lewisville mall to catch a dark night movie in theaters. That was pretty cool too. Until after the movie that is… We didn’t plan for the whole mall to be closed and us to have to walk literally around the entire outside of the mall while you were in heals to get to my car. I honestly thought you were never going to talk to me again after that! But you were cool about it. We kept seeing eachother until the time came to make it Facebook Offficial! Finally, on December 13th, we were actually dating.
